The MigraineLiving Story: in search of migraine relief

My MigraineLiving blog is dedicated to helping those with frequent migraines find ways to make their lives more pain-free and filled with joy and purpose. I write about the many adjustments I have made in my own life to find some migraine relief. Here I share with you my most authentic personal, spiritual and emotional journey with this debilitating condition. I continue to “migraine proof” my daily life in the hope that my experience will help migraine sufferers around the world. Together, let’s put the “living” back into our lives.

At 9 years old, I began experiencing migraines, but it wasn’t until I was a teenager that I received an accurate diagnosis. My journey since then has been full of trials and tribulations. I have tried every preventative medication on the market, but each caused unwanted side effects. With the help from my doctors, I found the right set of acute medications. Having also experimented with many alternative medicine approaches, I now have access to some remedies that help with nausea, stress and chronic fatigue. Living with migraines has forced me to make adjustments in every aspect of my life, in order to not just survive but thrive.

Parenting, career path, marriage, faith, friendships, diet, physical activities, travel – every single aspect of my life is undergoing adjustments. My search for migraine relief is ongoing. Recently, I made a bold decision to leave my high-paying executive job and focus on engineering a more holistic and balanced way to live with my migraines. Now, as an entrepreneur, I have the time and freedom to prioritize my health and family, migraine days or not. This blog is dedicated to helping others navigate the changes necessary for living a fulfilled life despite migraines. If you are looking for ways to put the “living” back into your life, plagued by migraine pain, this blog is for you.
